Lee Knight, our director and senior clinical nurse consultant in forensic mental health, will conduct all assessments for court. Lee has over 20 years experience working at an advanced level in forensic mental health assessment and treatment.
All consultations receive a written comprehensive psychiatric medico-legal report complete with clinical impression, recommendations for court diversion (if appropriate) and a workable, meaningful treatment plan.
Lee has a proven track record of providing clients with professional medico-legal reports in Local, District and Supreme Courts as well as the NSW Civil Administration Tribunal (NCAT), Immigration tribunals and State Parole Authority (SPA). Lee will review clients expeditiously and ensure that all documentation is provided to the client or legal representative well before the next scheduled court appearance. Appointments are available outside of office hours at convenient locations in both Terrigal and, on application, Sydney. Lee is able to visit clients in custodial settings across Sydney and surrounds and also offers audio-visual consultations where required.
Lee is able to assist clients in finding legal representatives who specialise in mental health matters, or he can work with their preferred legal representative at all stages of the court process.
In addition to forensic mental health assessment for medico-legal reports, we also offer comprehensive forensic mental health assessment and treatment for those not requiring a written report. We will assess your clinical needs and tailor an appropriate and meaningful treatment plan. We liaise with other medical professionals as required and, with your consent, assist in the coordination of your care.
We specialise in the subspecialty of forensic mental health and can assist with treatment of challenging mental health issues, sexual offender treatment, risk management and other mental illnesses or disorders. Please contact us for more information.
