Clinicians at Depsypher Mental Health Services pride ourselves on delivering high quality, comprehensive, and evidence-based mental health treatment. To provide this high quality service, Depsypher Mental Health Service employs a range of clinicians who work independently and as part of the clinical team. We call this a shared-care model, where your care is generally managed by your individual clinician with the option of sharing your care with our psychiatrist as needed.
Depsypher Mental Health Services believe that clients should have a choice in who provides mental health treatment and understands that you want consistency in your health care. To facilitate consistency, you will be offered appointments with your preferred clinician and, unless there are exceptional circumstances, this clinician will remain constant throughout your treatment with us.
Here at Depsypher Mental Health Services we have access to highly trained nursing, allied health and medical staff. All assessments must have an initial assessment with one of our Clinical Nurse Consultants or Psychologists, prior to being referred to our psychiatrist. This team approach allows the efficient use of our psychiatrist's time, reducing waiting times and cost for the client. This is particularly important with the current significant waiting times to see a psychiatrist in NSW. Generally, we are able to review our clients within around two-weeks, with psychiatrist appointments being booked approximately one to two months later.
In the interim, whilst you are waiting to see the Depsypher Mental Health Services psychiatrist, our clinicians will work with you, providing psychological treatment, case management support, and liaise closely with your GP to support timely review for medication or medical testing.
